Some professions aren't chosen right away. People come to them gradually through years of work, unexpected encounters, first unsuccessful projects, large stages, long nights behind the scenes, and those special moments when you realize: this is exactly what you want to do. Perhaps our story came together this way, too.
Each of us came to this profession by our own path. Some from theatre, some from directing, some from design, and some from lighting, video, or technical production. Behind us are years of work in Eastern Europe, dozens, and perhaps hundreds of different projects: stages, festivals, concerts, theatrical productions, corporate and private events
Each of us has our own experience, our own vision, and our own professional story.
But over time, it became clear that these different skills and areas of knowledge complement each other very well.
What one sees as a director, another understands as a designer; what a designer creates in their imagination, the technical team finds a way to bring to life. The script finds its space, the space gains its character, and the idea gradually becomes a complete story. That is how our team was created.
Not as a random combination of specialists, but as people who wanted to create together. We called it Event Pro
And later, when Ottawa became the city where we live, work, and build our future, the name Event Pro Ottawa was born.
For us, it is not simply a geographic clarification. It is part of our story.
We brought here our professional experience, our traditions, and our understanding of the stage and the art of creating events. UK aesthetic and the European school, technical precision and creative freedom, respect for detail and the constant desire to look for something new. We are convinced that a good event is not born from one decision.
First comes a thought. Then — a concept. After that comes the script, the image, the design, the space. An understanding begins to emerge of what the atmosphere should be, how the event will develop, what the audience will see and, most importantly, what they will feel. This is where our work begins.
We create concepts, scripts, and designs. We develop scenography and 3D visualizations. We work with lighting, LED and video, technical production, and programming. We work in theatrical production, directing, and the complete technical realization of projects.
From weddings and corporate evenings to seminars, conferences, festivals, concerts, and theatrical productions.
For us, there is no fundamental difference between a large festival and an intimate event if there is a genuine idea
behind it. Because scale is not measured by the amount of equipment. Scale is measured by the strength of the story we tell.
And that is exactly why we love our work.
We love the moment when, after long conversations, searching, and countless possibilities, a complete vision finally appears. When a sketch stops being simply a drawing. When an idea takes shape. When the people who have worked on a project for weeks or months finally see it not on paper, but before them — alive and real.
